Are you one of those people that cannot be in front of people to speak? Do you get tongue tied and have anxiety from public speaking? If so, this is normal as this is one of the 5 biggest fears that people have. I have blogged about a few other fears which include: “Fear of Failure,” “Fear of Judgment,” and “Fear or Rejection.” We all have different types of fears, but public speaking is a huge one for most people! I remember when I was a child, I didn’t even want to talk to my extended family because I was afraid to talk to them in a group setting! However, as I got older, I took “Toastmasters” in high school to help me with my fear of public speaking! This class was very beneficial to me and got me out of my shell. I am very grateful for it because I can use my public speaking skills to give demonstrations and teaching others in classrooms. I also want to point out, that the more you practice public speaking in front of others, this will help to take the edge off you too! So, if you are having difficulty with public speaking, take a class and practice, practice, practice! You will be surprised on confident you will become and how well you will learn to speak in front of others!
