Today we are in the midst of Dia De Los Muertos (Day of the Dead). This holiday lasts from October 31- November 2. I have blogged about this before called “Dia De Lost Muertos.” I love this time of year because it reminds us to remember our loved ones that have passed away and celebrate their lives. This is such a wonderful tradition for any culture. This could be simply putting up a loved one’s picture and lighting a candle for them. Another idea would be playing their favorite songs or cooking their favorite meal. The more traditional way is to make an alter for them with their favorite things too. Also, some cultures honor their loved ones too by celebrating in the cemetery with all these things too. Whatever resonates with you, just do it! Your Loved Ones will know what you have done, and they will feel honored that you are celebrate them! For me, I am getting some candles, pictures and food out for my loved ones this year. I can’t wait for them to know that I am celebrating their lives! If you haven’t tried this, give it a shot and see how it makes you feel. I always feel so happy thinking of them and knowing that they are around to celebrate with me. Happy Dia De Los Muertos!
