It’s March and time for St. Paddy’s day! I love this day as it always reminds me of the time that I spent in Ireland. One thing that I learned when I was there was the difference between a shamrock and clover, which I thought I would share with you today. A shamrock has three leaves which symbolizes faith, hope and love. Also, some people believe that the 3 leaves stand for the Holy Trinity which is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As for the clover, it has four leaves and the first threes symbolize faith, hope and love but the fourth one symbolizes LUCK! Also, another tidbit I learned about the clover was people call it the “lucky clover” because Ireland is supposed to have more clovers than any other place! This is the reason it is called the luck of the Irish! Who knew! Now that you know the difference, go out and see if you might be able to find that four leaf clover and bring in the luck of the Irish!
